Goal plan
Plan a SIP for your child's higher education — with education inflation, which runs higher than general inflation, built in.
Education costs in India have historically risen faster than general inflation — often cited around 8–10% a year for professional and overseas courses. That's why the solver here defaults to a higher inflation assumption: planning a child's-education SIP against 6% general inflation understates what you'll actually need.
Set the target to the today's-money cost of the course you have in mind and mark "target is in today's money". The solver inflates it to its future cost and back-solves the SIP required — so you're funding the real future bill, not today's price tag.
Time horizon is usually fixed by your child's age, which makes starting early the single biggest lever. A 15-year runway versus a 10-year one can roughly halve the monthly amount needed.
